Colour stories

Pick the tree's mood, we pick the glass

Every bauble we blow belongs to one of four stories, so a tree trimmed from one tag always looks like it was planned in one evening.

Questions on the tag

Anything else, write to Henrike — she answers every letter before the kiln is lit.

Will glass baubles survive the post?

Yes. Each piece sits in its own cotton nest inside a rigid box, inside a padded carton. If anything arrives broken, send a photo and we blow a replacement.

How many baubles does my tree need?

Roughly two pieces for every 10 cm of tree: 26 for 120 cm, 40 for 180 cm, 53 for 240 cm. The trimming builder does the sum and mixes the sizes.

Can you paint a name on a bauble?

Henrike paints names and dates in gold for €6 a bauble, up to 14 letters. Order by 20 November so the lacquer has time to cure.

What is the snow inside the globes?

Fine white glass flakes and a little gold glitter in distilled water with glycerine, which slows the fall to about forty seconds. Keep globes above 5 °C.

Can I return a piece I don't love?

Within 30 days, unused and in its box. Return postage is on us in Germany; elsewhere we refund the piece and you send it back tracked.

Do you sell to shops?

Yes, from 24 pieces per design. Write from the workshop page with your shop's name and town and we send the trade list.
